PTL Training and Solutions is an online education platform launching as a subsidiary of PTL Construction and Design, a Spartanburg, SC-based consulting firm specializing in residential construction services. Founded by Ethan Floyd, a licensed professional with extensive experience in the Upstate region, this venture aims to provide accessible, high-quality online courses for sub-contractors, career changers, and newcomers entering the construction field.

The U.S. construction industry is facing significant workforce shortages projected to require 439,000 new workers nationwide in 2026. The demand for skilled training is high. In South Carolina, the sector added 6,200 jobs in 2025, outpacing national averages amid rapid employment growth.

PTL Training and Solutions will deliver online courses tailored to aspiring builders and professionals seeking licensure or skill enhancement. Courses will cover entry-level construction basics, exam preparation for RBC licensing, IRC compliance, project management, and best practices for new builds, remodels, and repairs in one-, two-, or multi-family residences. As a digital-first business, it will use LearnWorld for course delivery, allowing flexible, self-paced learning accessible nationwide, with a focus on South Carolina-specific regulations.
